Professional associations are made up of individual providers. Individual providers of an association often battle with insurance companies. This prevents a unified national message disseminated to third party payors. As a result, new procedures and devices have an unnecessarily difficult time of being covered and reimbursed. USTR can conduct reimbursement seminars covering how providers at the practice level can achieve greater claims acceptance both regionally and nationally and how decisions are made on the national and local level. USTR will conduct a reimbursement seminar that the association members will find informative and valuable to provide what is required to establish the provider member office as the entry point for the diagnosis and treatment of the medical condition the member wishes to diagnose and treat. USTR will conduct a lively and informative seminar based upon the results of a survey of association members that identifies questions they have related to issues impacting claims for member provided services.
USTR can produce for the Medicare market as well as assorted benefit plans including PPO, HMO and private fee for service payors a technology information marketing piece highlighting technology utilized by your provider members and its clinical benefits. We create marketing materials to educate insurance companies about the technology. Sales and marketing and reimbursement are synergistic activities as each leverages the other. USTR believes these technology information packs will increase awareness of the value of the technology and offer the opportunity to receive reimbursement higher than the Medicare standard of least costly alternative.
MEMBERSHIP BENEFIT MARKETING AND REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM
The force multiplier approach serves to outsource marketing and reimbursement activities. Rather than individual academy members each performing marketing and reimbursement actions on their own, the purposes of USTR as an outsource for the association is to coordinate and act as a central clearinghouse for all these actions. All members of the association have a common interest in receiving enhanced reimbursements from the payor community for identical procedures, products and protocols. We achieve
this through regularly scheduled internet, real- time seminars hosted by a USTR specialist based upon the then current information, decisions, opportunities and any new developments.
In addition to our standard program products and services, our membership benefit program includes our customer service hotline for both members and
insurance companies to facilitate billing and payment. Our plan is not just problem solving but a proactive effort to identify new technologies with a goal of promoting member services and increasing member revenue. Additional plan benefits include making presentations to medical directors and medical societies on technology issues effecting your members, accreditation of your members so they become the appropriate entry point for the service they wish to provide and training member office staff on leveraging what reimbursement efforts have been accomplished to increase referrals and payment to the individual member office
